How does Eleventy compare to Metalsmith?

How does Eleventy compare to Metalsmith (https://github.com/segmentio/metalsmith)? I've used Metalsmith before, but Eleventy seems pretty hot, and I'm just trying to figure out how the two compare in terms of features and developer experience. I looked around online and couldn't find an answer and figured maybe others are asking the same question.

If I was to attempt to answer my own question based on my readings of Eleventy's documentation, it seems to me that Eleventy comes with more features included in it's core, for example pagination or collections, whereas in Metalsmith-land, those are separate plugins. Beyond that, I'm not sure. Thanks!
