I know this is a bit out-there for ideas that could be implemented, but I really like the ease of use of MS Paint and jspaint, and I think that combined with the aesthetic would be a great comic creator. The feature when enabled would simply let you draw on multiple canvas, aka panels, that you could swap between. Then you could save it as one big picture that stacks all the panels.
To be fair, you could just make a big image, but this workflow is faster as panels can be added with a specific size quickly, and the existence of the feature might encourage people to try it out and make some fun little comics. From my experience of tiny game engine tools like flickgame or bitsy, having tiny tools to make stuff can surprisingly be a very fun experience.
