Public Warning System - Support for SBc-AP Interface in srsRAN_4G

Feature Description

ETSI 103.720 v1.2.1 defines the support for a Public Warning System (PWS). Section 5.15.1 defines the reference architecture. The warning messages to be broadcasted are delivered via the MME to the eNodeB instances.

ETSI TS 129116 defines the SBc reference point between the CBC and the MME. This interface is used to send and confirm warning requests.

Implementation

OsmoCBC implements the CBC and (probably) also the messages that are to be send via SBc-AP to the MME. On the MME side the messages need to be processed and deliverd to the eNodeB for broadcasting.
