Some Ideas for modifications

Congrats on your design, it's a pretty amazing little device and I'm working on printing one out myself. I had some thoughts:

QMK software: QMK has robust support for different key commands and combinations as well as rbg support. See this as an example for a single switch configuration. It uses the B0 and B4 pins to connect the switch and would not require a resistor. With QMK, you can have multiple command combinations like one tap to leave zoom, two to leave MS Teams, etc. Flashing with Via keymap would allow for gui management as well.

Pro Micro is definitely overkill but it's probably the best option since the clones are very inexpensive and easy to find.
