Further Logging of pytest States

For some of the 01deg_jra55_[iaf|ryf]_bgc initial checksum generation runs, it is running for quite a long time (see related #4). It is difficult to know what exactly is happening (like whether it is in queue, what test is running, is it hanging or errored).

Add in some logging for the pytests so we can know what it is up to with a little bit more granularity.
