Dragging and dropping files into DART on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS fails 90-95% of the time if you're running Gnome and Wayland.

This is not a DART issue, it's a Wayland issue, as noted here: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1421539/drag-and-drop-of-files-not-working-on-version-22-04 and here: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/issues/2216.

For now, there are two workarounds:

  1. Switch from Wayland to X11 (not recommended)
  2. Use the lightweight Thunar file manager, as dragging and dropping from that does work.

See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thunar

To install on Ubuntu 22.04: sudo apt install thunar
