Currently (May 25/2011) we have basic news system, with dtd file updated and example news in US Team Trials files.

To be added:

sort news by date/time
track latest news read by user (per event) (in "settings"?)
turn "On" badge if un-read news exists (i.e. track date of latest news item)
(note: this does not recognize news added with "old" date, or updates to new items)

To be updated:

use nicer badge icon - get from MasterMind (on kitchen computer)
