Current checks only catch the most obvious problems. We need more robust checking.

  • Check for connectivity to all currently configured mirrors
  • Check for existence of dependencies before execution
  • Check for repository path, mounting (done), and free space
  • Look into making network checks less fragile, or implement retry logic
  • Maybe roll it all into a state_check function
