Oyster-Kingfish-Fennel Smoothie Recipe

About

This recipe makes an absurd but delicious Blue smoothie that is packed with flavors and nutrition. It takes only about 5 minutes of preparation and cooking time.

Ingredients

  • 4 fresh oysters, shucked
  • 1/2 kg Fresh kingfish, filleted
  • 1 head of fresh fennel, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 cup crushed ice
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper

Method

  1. Rinse the shucked oysters and the kingfish fillets in cold water and let them dry for a minute or two.
  2. Add the oysters, kingfish fillets, and the fennel to a blender.
  3. Pour in the unsweetened almond milk, crushed ice, sea salt, and freshly cracked black pepper.
  4. Blend everything together until very smooth.
  5. Serve this mixture using a spoon, and enjoy.

Tips

  • You can add more crushed ice for a thicker and creamier smoothie.
  • Optional: add in a tablespoon of honey to sweeten this smoothie.
  • Serve this with your favorite dip, crackers or croutons for a savory and crunchy finish.
