After updating @angular/core to latest version with ng update @angular/core command, I'm getting following error:

This didn't occur with @angular/core version 17.0.2.

Just tried to upgrade to @angular/core to version 17.0.9 and same issue is still present - version 17.0.2 of @angular/core works as expected.

True. It's deprecated for newer versions of Angular 17. Stuck in upgrade though

Sorry for the delay.

I also noticed issues with Angular 17, especially when using MatomoRouteTracker.

As a result, I've rewritten most of the library to have something fully compatible with Angular 18. It shall be published in the coming days.
