Maybe related: #292

Many problems with identical emails being sent out, really buggy, doesn't do what it says on the box.

I think this issue is about the alert controlled by the toggle "My Annotations, Notify me when records I have flagged are updated.." on the https://alerts.ala.org.au/notification/myAlerts page.

Additional information from the linked issue

By default, tick the subscribe checkbox for "My annotations" alert every time a user annotation is added or edited (also called a "flag" in biocache-hubs)

Default opting in users might benefit from additional UI development in biocache-hubs

  • Make it harder to miss. Maybe force a yes or no rather than a default.
  • If a user unticks it, remember this for next time in all hubs.
  • If a user unsubscribes from "My annotations" in alerts, with the UI or an unsubscribe link, also remember this for next time in all hubs.
