.NET 6 is EOL and it would be nice to get some sort of communication or bulletin from the developers as to whether this project is dead and EOL as well. My understanding was that this project is used by Akka.NET and I see that project is still being maintained. I'm shocked that this project hasn't been updated to .NET 8 yet given it's being used actively.

.NET 7 is not an LTS so I can see why they wouldn't bother with that. However .NET 8 is LTS and .NET 6 is EOL now and this project appears to be ghosted.

Well looks like this project is really dead. I raised this issue on the Akka.NET project and they basically confirmed that they are planning to ditch DotNetty. Guess we have to start finding an alternative as well.
