So that you can browse, eg, by the date of the project. Related to #498 .

There are other options of date: "live date", "archived date", "intake date", and post_date. I choose to use live date because more posts have this date than others dates.

Any other categories needed for sorting?

It should be an option to choose any one of our date fields here

Search & Filter plugin cannot sort. All other plugins that seem to be able to allow for sorting needs payment.
This plugin is good for searching and filtering though. This is what it can do:

I was able to use facetwp to add a sort dropdown. Now the posts are able to be sorted by the Title (A-Z & Z-A) and the post date (newest / oldest). However, I couldn't find the [project] Archive / live / intake date for facetwp sort.

There seems to be no way to sort our projects by our custom dates. Let's shelve it.

Actually, this may now be possible thanks to #516

Waiting to hear from Facet for why the custom field from #516 isn't on option for sort-by

possibly, if more than just sorting becomes an issue, we can just adapt something like we are already doing for the people directory to the projects.

I don't know if this is exactly what we want, but I was able to add an option in facetwp that will display the projects based on the selected date.
