We already have the ability to drag and drop files, but I would like the ability to paste files via ctrl+v or right click paste as well.
Motivation: if you right click copy a picture (at least, for HEIC pictures) in the Windows Photo app, it will paste as a very inefficient photo attachment, like 30 MB. However, you can copy the original file directly by pressing “share” and “copy”. This copies the file as a file rather than a picture, which can be pasted into your directory, and then drag and drop into blue bubbles at a much more efficient size (like 1 MB). I’d rather just paste the file directly into blue bubbles.
“The photos app is just a viewer for picture files, why don’t you drag and drop the originals in the first place?”
Most of my photos are in iCloud Photos. The file directory view of iCloud Photos in windows is very disorganized and is thousands on photos in one directory, the Photos app view of iCloud Photos at least reliably shows me a chronological order.
