There doesn t seem to be a way to use hex values as the text or background color, only predefined color names.

Hi,
I downloaded tex2im and noticed that the -o command line option is not working. Here is the command I issued:
tex2im/tex2im -r 150x150 -o ./tmp_tttt /tmp/tmp_latex_LmpBvs.tex

The original script allowed graphics to be displayed in the snippet by making sure all of the .eps files in the current
directory were available in the temp directory.
