It’s a valuable feature for the instructors to understand whether the student has solved the issue or not. In addition, it doesn’t waste the instructor's time by reading a whole thread. However, the feature isn’t essential because the instructor can still read through the thread and divide his attention according to the students requirements

I think that this feature wouldn’t require much time because if a student were to submit a question and resolve it with their peers, there would be a button on the side of the question (like a verified button) to confirm that it has been resolved.
