I have an issue where some of the most recently published posts are not showing on category pages. The category is in the breadcrumbs and the meta info for each post. However, if you go to the category page for that post, the post is not listed.
I contacted several people about the issue – my ad provider, the builder plugin (Twentig), and RankMath. None of them could find any reason for the problem to be happening.
I installed the Health Check and Troubleshooting plugin to see if I could narrow the problem down to one plugin. In troubleshooting mode, I activated the plugins one by one to isolate the issue. It turned out to be EditorsKit 1.34.8.
I tested several times to be sure and with EditorsKit active, the “problem” posts disappear from their category’s page. When I deactivate EditorsKit, the post appears on the category page just as it should.
This result is the same whether EditorsKit is the only plugin active or if all other plugins are active. It is definitely some kind of issue with EditorsKit.
The link given as the page I need help with is just one post with the problem. There are others.
I cannot tell you exactly when the issue started but it was fairly recent.
I thought the problem might be connected to the Reading Time issue that I saw discussed in other threads. The problem exists with or without Reading Time activated.
I am running EditorsKit 1.34.8 with WordPress 6.2, The Twenty Twenty-Two theme v.1.4, the Twentig builder plugin v1.6, and Kadence blocks v3.0.34.
The problem exists even with Twentig and/or Kadence blocks deactivated so I doubt there is a conflict there.
