Here are my ideas for some new wings (should you decide to add them)

Aegis Wings: (Based on Pneuma from XC2). Emeralds and nether stars for the recipe?
Crow Wings: Feathers & Black Dye.
Phantom Wings: Phantom Membranes.

XC2 suxx 😎

but for real, the first and third one is a maybe, would have to steal Cyber for them again, and I feel like she would not enjoy modeling the Aegis wings after doing Flandre's wings x3

as for the crow wings, that would conflict with the black feathered wings already

I did have another idea but figured instead of making another issue board I would put it here since ti's already about additional wing suggestions.

Simply put, bee wings. Specifically for use with bee adding origins. Not sure if you could slow the flight down or not to be normal bee speed instead of default elytra but cosmetic works for the origins that add their own forms of bee flight. Shoot, just a few insect wing types in general would be neat.

As far as im aware yours is the only mod ive seen so far that add's wings like this so thought I may as well try suggesting it lol

I would also like more variants.

  1. fairy (dragonfly) wings
  2. pixie (butterfly) wings
  3. moth wings
  4. burning phoenix wings (colored flames would be cool).
  5. crystal/ore wings (redstone amethyst, diamond)
  6. marine looking wings
  7. plant like leave wings (I can give you an example if you ike, just ask)

those would be great to use with the origin mod. to give you guys additional inspiration look at the "wings" mod my pau101. < just for inspirational purpose (used this one for years on forge)

by the way great mod fantasic fly controlls. so smooth and easy to use. great work.

Experienced Java coder and 3D modeler here, poking my toes into Minecraft modding for the first time. I also want this mod to have moth wings badly enough to try modeling them myself. As far as I can tell, the .java files are in a 1.17 format, which can't be opened in Blockbench - but they were automatically converted from a 1.16 format, which can. Are the 1.16 files still around somewhere? Or .bbmodel, or some other editable format? I'd be happy to contribute anything I make with them to a new version.

Yes, I believe have the original blockbench model files.
The goal is to convert from using java models to something like geckolib, so that wing models can be changed via resourcepacks.
I just haven't gotten around to that.
