Summary

Adding a line in the features section of the README mentioning the Android Auto support would highlight an important selling point of the app.

Description

I suggest adding a line stating that the app supports Android Auto, possibly with screenshots of the interface. Additionally, mention that enabling Developer Mode and the Unknown Sources flag is required to use this feature. You might also include a link to the Android Developers page for more details.

I've been trying to get Tempo to work with AA with no avail, how did you get it working?

Hello xp1ode.
You have to open the android auto app (for me, Fairphone 4, it is under "Connected Devices" -> "Connection Settings").

  • Activate the Developer Settings (tap a few times at the bottom on "Version")
  • Tap on the 3 dots on the top right and enter the developer settings
  • Enable "Unkown Sources"

Thank you, i was able to find the option and Tempo does show up but no info is displayed. Only the Tempo icon is shown with no music info.

I was also seeing a similar issue in Android Auto on the f-droid version of this app, I have since switched to the GitHub version of the app and that works well enough with my car.
