Placing Gold or Iron ingots adjacently causes texture glitch #442

As described in the title, this texture glitch is caused by only the gold and iron ingots within my game. I am playing on ATM3 1.12.2 which has possibly 30+ different ingots which all work except for the classic gold and iron ingots.
Gold and iron ingots dont like to be placed in the world adjacently however when placing some of each next to each other works and doesnt cause this texture bug.
To recreate u can simply put down any amount of gold or iron ingots on the ground and then place that same type of ingot adjacently.
Here below are before and after.

You can see from my hotbar that i am only placing an additional ingot down between the pair's of screenshots.

i believe its being caused by the sphax texture pack but not sure how to prevent it

I found the issue. The PureBDcraft Sphax texture doesnt work with 1.12.2 Optifine's "Fancy Texture" setting turned to 'fast' or 'fancy'. To prevent this texture glitch turn the fancy textures to off.
