Black screen occasionally shown with steam-plus session

When using the steam-plus session, occasionally Steam will show the black screen with "Menu / Back" on the bottom instead of the game display. Pressing B to go back and then clicking "Resume" on the game page will bring the game display back.

This seems to mostly happen after dismissing the quick access menu or the Steam menu, and I have not seen the problem with the regular steam session.

This is happening on a GPD Win Mini 2023 under unstable a85a0bd and also happened under testing baaecaa.
