Options:

  • install complete dotfiles rather than scripting additions to existing dotfiles. This would ensure consistency, but overwrite any changes made by other software (including the OS - OpenSUSE has some custom .bashRC at install), and so should be completed carefully prior to installs.
  • Pull relevant Conda .bashrc mods from an existing mint install, append to .bashrc above PS1 mod.
