Ignore spelling suggestions drops out of table editor...

I ran into a catch-22 this morning. I need to edit a table; the spell checking is activated and it suggested a change to the capitalization of a word, which I ignored.
I was dumped out of table edit mode and everytime I try to edit the table I get the same suggestion which I don't want and then dropped out of table edit mode.
So, I turned off the plugin :=((
