This analysis would assess temporal clustering as a function of encoding position. It could be implemented using an approach similar to timecorr, where the clustering proportions are computed using a weighted average of the lag recall distances. Could also be extended to naturalistic stimuli. I'm thinking that for naturalistic stimuli, this could be a really good predictor of hippocampal activity.
