Create layers, then put effects on them, together with shapes.
Possibly with ping-pong possibilities ?

Started implementing this in 63e873c, leaving it open until it's fully implemented.
(Layers have to render on the FBOs)

I use FBOs it's the way to go!

Yes, it looks pretty promising for the moment :)
Do you think using a set of 2 "ping-pong" fbo's by default is a good idea (per render layer) ? Still a bit hesitating... I think it won't affect performance much having 2 of them (instead of 1 per layer) while they increase possibilities :)
