Vote closed. Indentation 4 Whitespaces was chosen with a 5:4 vote.

As the daybreak faction, we should aim to have a consistent formatting style. These posts are for gathering consent on the style to use. Please vote as explained below according to your own preference. The result will be tallied by Thursday morning and determine the style guidelines for the competition.

This RFC is all about indentation. Specifically: All whitespace (4 whitespaces per level) or Tabs.

To vote, add emoji reactions to this post:

  • Thumbsup = 4 Whitespaces per indentation level
  • Thumbsdown = 1 Tab per indenation level

Most editors let you auto-expand a tab into 4 space characters. Tab characters are 👿 .

I believe VS Code does 4 spaces by default in PowerShell files.

What's a matter with tabs?
