Roadmap

We are now considering release our first major version v1.0.0 later this year. We plan to include some new features and improvements.

• New Features
  • The registry system for custom functionalities.
  • A new repository Benchmark to compare DeepReg with other methods.
  • Mixed-precision training.
  • Docker images.
• Improvements
  • Configuration file simplification with back compatibility.
  • Better DeepReg Demo checkpoints.
  • Documentation fixes and improvement.
  • Code refactoring and lining.

Timeline

As this is a major release, we will provide several release candidates to roll out new features in multiple stages and collect feedback. The general idea is

1. Release registry system and some refactoring in v1.0.0-rc1, in early Feb. 2021.
2. Release the rest of the new features in v1.0.0-rc2, in late Feb. 2021.
3. Release the benchmarks with VoxelMorph in v1.0.0-rc3, in Mar. 2021.
4. Release v1.0.0 after v1.0.0-rc3 with some fixes and improvements, in early Apr. 2021.

Issues have been already organized into Milestones.
