If anyone has an idea as to if there is an issue with the sensor? I think it's either the sensor or the speed, as it's not sending the response quick enough to stop? if no one has a quick solution, I may replace the bracket for a more steady one as a temporary workaround.
I’ve had another look at this on tonight’s Maker Night and found that the hall sensor for the x-min ids not working at present. I have reversed connections with the x-max sensor so that Gerald can now be homed.
Further diagnostic work is needed to see if this is an actual faulty sensor or a fault in the cabling somewhere, but that’s for another night.

This seems to be an intermittant fault, but marking as broken because of the potential damage to the machine
