I identified that some of the fuses had blown in the pedestal units and one of the pedestal units was not plugged in. I plugged in the one pedestal unit and borrowed some of the fuses in it to get Eric’s desk ped3stal working again.
The sockets for these mains blocks and pedestals are all individually fused at 3.15A, so we should obtain spare fuses for these sockets, as they will likely get blown reasonably regularly.
The fuses needed are 3.15A 20mm slow blow or time delay fuses. These are available from Amazon, but are quite expensive. I found the following fuses at CPC, which are much cheaper, but there is a minimum order fee. As we likely need to order at least 20 fuses, although I would recommend getting 40-50, this likely still will be cheaper than Amazon.
The power sockets on Eric's desk and the one next to it are dull red and flickering. He's taken a look under the desk and can't see an obvious fault.
I've temporarily moved one of the four gang extensions from the workshop desks
