This happens when I use the last (or current) line in the session to edit an object mentioned in that line, make a change and save the change: the line is then overwritten by Link.

Note that this happens only when the current line in the session is used. Doing the same with an earlier line leaves that line untouched and adds a new line with the Link message to the bottom of the session log.
Link should do the same with the current line if it is not empty.
