Three options are available:

Buying an additional Adobe product to make the existing PDF accessible or
Just typing out all of the content on the handout with the assumption that someone with a screenreader or with other disabilities may want it read aloud, rather than visually seeing it, or
(recommended) Using the native tools’ accessibility capabilities to make the generated PDF accessible.
