UIWebView deprecation

Apple has announced that new apps using UIWebView will no longer be accepted to the App Store in April 2020, and existing apps using UIWebView will no longer be allowed to update starting December 2020. Apple Announcement

When can we expect an update to the Evernote iOS SDK which no longer relies on UIWebView?

I concur, this is a serious issue for apps that integrate the SDK and it will be sad to remove Evernote integration because of this.

Hi all, we at Blinkist have been using a fork of this repo for quite a while now and also decided to move on with ditching the UIWebView in favor of WKWebView.

The changes can be found in this PR https://github.com/blinkist/evernote-cloud-sdk-ios/pull/3. After the update, all the functionalities seem to work fine up to now.

The biggest changes were to convert a sync call that manipulates javascript in UIWebView to an async call in WKWebView. The delegate methods are also different, but there are similar ones.

This is a serious issue since it won't be possible to submit apps with UIWebView. If this project is deprecated, can someone as Evernote let us know?

It's ridiculous that this issue isn't considered serious enough by the Evernote iOS team to even comment on.
