The new world generation in 2.0 means that compass valley will no longer generate the same as before. It is possible that it will still be nice, but we may now also need to explore some seeds to find a new beginner-friendly map.

@LevFendi
Didn't you figure some settings out?

I found 245 to be a very good seed.

For our new compass valley style beginners map we would also go for some extra tweaks:

  • Resource richness 400%
  • Cliff continuity 50%
  • Peaceful mode
  • Evolution does not increase by time, but still by pollution and by destroying nests.

I would define a good seed as one where the starting resource patches are close to each other but not overlapping. They are also not covered by forests and they have an arrangement where you can comfortably build furnace arrays in parallel, towards a large open space. Also, at least some oil and uranium needs to be close by.

Other good seeds:
56
77
87
183
196
207
1234567
2645751
