From c6fdc429122cd9bca22ae84fc71908bfef4f03d9 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Rowan Manning Date: Thu, 21 Nov 2019 09:32:09 +0000 Subject: [PATCH] Reword the how-to-use guide (#288) Based on feedback from the last round of promotions, some people assume that the engineering competencies is a check-list and that checking all of the boxes guarantees you a promotion. This is not true. While our how-to-use guide never states that you will be promoted if you meet all of the competencies, upon re-reading we can see how you might assume so. This PR attempts to make the competencies role in a promotions case more clear. --- site/pages/competencies/how-to-use.md | 6 +++--- 1 file changed, 3 insertions(+), 3 deletions(-) diff --git a/site/pages/competencies/how-to-use.md b/site/pages/competencies/how-to-use.md index 3c2ca5d..39c3ce4 100644 --- a/site/pages/competencies/how-to-use.md +++ b/site/pages/competencies/how-to-use.md @@ -8,7 +8,7 @@ layout: o-layout-docs # {{page.title}} -Engineering competencies are used to help identify when an engineer is ready for promotion.
