Guidelines

  • I have encountered this bug in the latest release of FreeTube.
  • I have encountered this bug in the official downloads of FreeTube.
  • I have searched the issue tracker for open and closed issues that are similar to the bug report I want to file, without success.
  • I have searched the documentation for information that matches the description of the bug I want to file, without success.
  • This issue contains only one bug.

Describe the bug

  1. Make sure Freetube is already installed (but not the newest version).
  2. Pin Freetube to Windows taskbar.
  3. Download & install the newest version.
  4. Freetube will no longer be pinned to taskbar.

Expected Behavior

Freetube being kept pinned to Windows taskbar through version updates.

 

(As a side-note: I apologize if the Issue Label I selected below is incorrect. I honestly wasn't sure which was most applicable, so I chose the one I thought least........inapplicable? Words are hard.)

Additional Information

Not sure if it matters, but this happens regardless of whether I have the primary API used set to Local or Invidious before installing the new update.

This also happens to me with Windows 11 23H2.

This issue is stale because it has been open 28 days with no activity. Remove stale label or comment or this will be closed in 7 days.
