I notice that The Haunted Skull is configured to do so, but other webcomics I'm following aren't. I've reached out to the author of The Monster Under the Bed and he doesn't seem to oppose to the idea, but doesn't know how either.

What should be done to add the image elements directly to the content:encoded property of each RSS item?
