HTTP and "The Git Protocol" are unauthenticated and should not be used anymore.

Example:

  • git clone URL: git://github.com/GR360RY/htpc-ansible.git

And consider doing a global replace for those URLs in the git repos to catch all legacy occurrences.

Is --no-check-certificate still required?
