It would appear that you can give the same name to two different datasets which can be a bit confusing when you look at the datasets page. Should they be forced to be unique for a given user? This could be especially of issue if uploading to google drive if the filenames are based on the dataset name (haven't got as far as testing that aspect yet)

From a UI point of view, agreed, confusing, and no existing enforcement of unique names. Will leave open since worth changing as a lower priority thing at some point.
In the background though, each dataset has an id which is concatenated to the name (visible if you go to the dataset results page - it's in the url). This is used pretty much everywhere in the background (including on the upload to drive), so doesn't cause issues with overwrites etc.
