My rationale is available at 8go/matrix-commander#68 (comment).

However, because that is not active (yet, hopefully) I ask how

Copy a rich text link.

and

Copy the raw URL.

are different.

Imagine you want to link to the text "Example Domain" on https://example.com/.

Response

"http://github.com/GoogleChromeLabs/link-to-text-fragment/issues/70#issuecomment-1206502152" responds to "http://github.com/GoogleChromeLabs/link-to-text-fragment/issues/70#issuecomment-1206476371".

Ah, so Rich text automatically encapsulates it within Markdown, @tomayac?

Anyway, you appear to have missed the title and primary purpose of this issue. I want to enable GitHub Discussions for this repository in order to not create spam-issues when asking questions, although I suppose that a Google Group would additionally serve that function, although in a less integrated manner.

Not Markdown, the actual HTML that you see on GitHub.

I prefer managing discussions in Issues for now. It's fine to open one for purely discussion.

Brilliant. I must say that I prefer HTML significantly. Thanks.
