I love ChatGPT Writer and its Gmail integration! I was filling out your waitlist form, and since it asked for things I'd like to see, I thought I'd write them down here for readability.
For new emails, auto-insert the generated subject line, rather than having the first line of the body be "Subject: ..."
For new emails, if I already filled out To and/or Subject, provide these as context. If both To and Subject are present, I think it might be useful to have it instantly start generating a full email by treating the Subject as a prompt.
Easier prompt template selection than manual editing. (E.g. "Write an informal email to a friend:")
I'd like to configure how I like to sign my emails, e.g. "Best wishes, Jo". That way it doesn't generate "Best regards, [Your Name]".
I'd like to provide some previous correspondence from me as a general style guide. (Ideally this would be automatic and per-person, but I could also just paste a couple of email into a ChatGPT Writer option so that it can always provide them as a style guide.)
I sometimes want to tell ChatGPT to change things. E.g. I might go to https://chat.openai.com/chat, open the latest conversation that ChatGPT Writer generated, and type "make it shorter" or correct it on some detail, and then copy-paste the new response into Gmail. I'd love it if I could have that back-and-forth interaction in the extension.
