Tkinter is a "GuiProgramming toolkit for Python" totally irrelevant for wikichron. However, it needed to be installed in order to be able to use the colormap package inside Linux.
The colormap package is used only for a couple of things in wikichron, and it should be easily replaceable by another similar library. Also, this colormap package is not widely used and well maintained.
The ideal would be to replace colormap by something equivalent, so that we can get rid of the annoying and irrelevant tkinter dependency.
