[Bug] Problem with launching game.

Whenever I try to launch the game at all, the white hoyoverse screen appears for a few seconds, and then immediately closes. I have everything installed correctly (I believe so anyways) anyone have any ideas as to why this is so? my grasscutter version is 1.7.4

UPDATE: Every once in a blue moon for some reason, the game actually starts up, but for some reason, I think its not starting with grasscutter, because logging in fails with a (account login failure) or something along those lines.

That's an issue with your game client, not with Grasscutter. You either do not have a full valid game client or are using the wrong patch on whatever game version you do have. Make sure to follow the setup guide fully.

If your comment in the Cultivation thread is anything to go by, you are using the wrong version of the game. Do be sure to specifically follow in the setup guide where it says that a 4.0 game client is required.

sorry about that. I managed to get a compatible version, and it loads into the menu screen without fail. though I'm getting a server is busy try again later pop up when I try logging in. but I'm gonna look around the issue threads a bit to see if there's anything I can do to fix it

You definitely can fix it very easily, I'd suggest you go to the discord as that's where every issue you can think of is answered at.
