ec200a module ,compatible for voice over USB?

Hello, I am trying to use the ec200a module with this asterisk module, the dongle appears loaded but I cannot originate a call.

Is ec200 compatible for voice over USB?

Before using it with asterisk, you must try with minicom using at commands. See if you can call and receive. The module needs to be properly set up before using it with asterisk. For volte, several config changes may be required to enable calling.

on ttyUSB2 I can get this by stopping asterisk and checking

Disconnect from asterisk and run this command AT+QPCMV?
If it does not support this command it does not have voice over usb and cannot be used. Also disconnected from asterisk can you call the no from another phone? And are you able to receive the call with ata

Even for uac, voice must be routed over usb. For ec25 without setting QPCMV you do not get audio over uac. I do not know if in the new modules, this is not the case. If it works without QPCMV and voice is always on over uac, answer a call and connect to the alsa device and see if you're getting audio. Then we can remove the QPCMV commands and get it working.

Thanks for the link, I see that this ec200 module has limited capabilities, I have decided to look for an ec25, this module would need some firmware update, perhaps?

Are you talking about ec200 or ec25? Generally ec25 should work out of the box. Some config may be needed if using volte. I do not know if any firmware update can help with the ec200 module.
