Calendar: first date color in date range preview doesn't get applied when the range is in the "outside dates" #15416

When we initiate a date range pick in our currently selected calendar month and then switch to next month, if you hover over the "outside days" in the previous month to select the ending date, our first date doesn't get the "selected" color applied to it.

This issue occurs with both the "material" and "indigo" themes, in both "light" and "dark" modes.
The issue also appears on the master branch.

@simeonoff @adrianptrv this has also been fixed in the PR for scoped themes in this commit
