Currently, bridges and tunnels are very limited and often difficult to work with. I am suggesting a bridge and tunnel overhaul, where you remove the bridge and tunnel options in their respective transportation tabs, and add a new "Build bridge" and "Build tunnel" option in the terrain tools tab, as well as a "View tunnels" transparency option to view and edit inside tunnels. These options allow you to build what are functionally floating/underground ground tiles, but which look like a bridge or tunnel for a more realistic experience with bridges and tunnels. This would include the ability to have curved tunnels and bridges (bridges might be difficult so it's up to you if you want to implement it), bridges and tunnels that are wider than 1 unit wide (so you can have trains changing tracks on bridges, for example), the ability to place signals on bridges and in tunnels, and basically whatever else you can do on normal ground tiles.

I am relatively sure that this would require a large recoding of the map array
