Jansugraph not using index when connecting through DriverRemoteConnection

I have a graph in which I am using EdgeIndex defined like below,

management.buildEdgeIndex(management.getEdgeLabel("worked"), "experienceEdgeByCompany", Direction.BOTH,
                    Order.asc, management.getPropertyKey("current_company"));

I am running the below query on my graph,

g.V().hasLabel("seeker").has("p_uuid", "abcd1234").outE("worked")
                    .as("e1").inV().inE().hasLabel("worked")
                    .has("current_company", "company2").as("e2")
                    .outV().as("v").profile().next()

Now, if I connect to my Janusgraph like this,

and do the profile() of the query,

It shows that it is using edge Index experienceEdgeByCompany

But, when I connect to my Janusgraph remotely, like

Why is the Edge Index being used in the first case and not in the second case ?

Looks like your second query hits the cache

Yes, but the query is the same in both cases, only the way I connect to Janusgraph is different.

When I have embedded JanusGraph as a library inside my Java application, it hits the Edge Index

but when I connect to Janusgraph Server through DriverRemoteConnection, it does not hit the Edge Index.

What am I doing wrong here?

Are you sure? Doesn't seem correct. My guess is your testing has something wrong. What if you do the JanusGraph server first and then embedded?
