[Bug]: Android client does not connect #2181
Comments
Prefix does not help. |
Reopen. |
Update: some investigation shows that Android client does not work in russian mobile network. Trying in the other countries mobile networks works fine without any enforces. Any ideas to fix? |
If I understand you correctly, it's not related to the Android client specifically, but the network that the device is on? Are you able to confirm that other devices are able to connect on the same network? |
Yes, it seems like a network problem (government blocking). Other devices in the same network work fine. This Android device switched to mobile network in another country works fine. So it looks like the especially russian blocking which the program was unable to pass through. |
What OS for the other devices that work on the same network? Is that the Windows client you mention? How are you getting the Windows device on the mobile network? /cc @fortuna for thoughts |
Other devices are «Windows 10» notebooks. All devices (including Windows and Android) are connected by Wi-Fi to the same 5GHz network same Wi-Fi router. The router (Keenetic) is connected to the internet by internal 4G modem with russian mobile network SIM card (Beeline). The router has default settings (no custom routes, no TTL tricks, no LAN segments, nothing else). |
A similar problem appeared a couple of days ago. The server works correctly on Mac os and windows with wifi connection. when connecting to this server via android app there is no internet access. i connect from Russia, mobile operators tele2 and beeline. There were no such problems a few days ago. The server works correctly. |
Thanks for confirming. Is the Android device completely disconnected from the mobile network? Could your Android device be using a specific DNS resolver that is different from your Windows devices? |
@evkungurov make sure you are connected to the same network. Censorship rules may be different depending on the network. |
