Perhaps an interesting GitHub Actions workflow could publish the people here as a list. I'm giving some thought to how I'd explore it. Sharing here for opinions...

I like the idea - and there could be some small steps we could take to make it easier to experiment with this. For example, a JSON feed built in the same Jekyll site, that would allow for you to prototype an API integration with your Mastodon instance.
However - I'd also be keen to understand the emerging norms around Mastodon lists, and whether there might be unintended community consequences from making it easier to follow 50+ people in this space. Grateful for any thoughts in this area (and examples of comparable communities negotiating this).
It'd be pretty cool if this could automatically become a Mastodon list.
It seems like the lists feature isn't yet mature. (Certainly the web user experience isn't perfect.)
The API supports it though, and implies that a user can see another users' lists, which is nice. (Not tested yet.)
