Sign difference in dipole matrix elements

In the tests of the dipole matrix element, the x component has opposite sign compared to what I derived in my thesis [Eq. (C.27)], whereas the z component is the same. This may not be a problem at all, since they were derived for different phase conventions, &c, but I'd like to understand where the sign comes from.
