How to identify the next step after a choice step

After creating a route with a choice step (or any other step that supports branching for that matter), is not clear to the user how to add more steps.

Considering the following screenshot, the actual button to add a new step belongs to the choice step itself and this is not easy to see at first glance.

An idea would be to have a placeholder after the branches, to convey the idea that a new step can be added after the choice.

As an example, the following screenshot could be enhanced with arrows that connects to the placeholder.
